We love Christina Aguilera. The lady has some serious vocal talent, and she’s pretty brave when it comes to her fashion choices. We cannot, however, get behind her misuse of self tanner and total disregard for eyebrow shaping! Although her color blending has improved over time, her abuse of bronzer cannot be ignored. Come on, Xtina, get it together!

Come on, J.Lo! We think you’re a gorgeous and fabulous lady, but what happened here? The frosty lipstick, too much shimmer powder on your nose, and badly done eye makeup! We can’t even take it! Bring back the bronzy glow that you made famous!

Hm. We can’t quite put our finger on it, but something about Rachel Zoe’s look here isn’t quite right. Maybe it’s the fact that he skin, brows, and lips all seem to blend together.  We think a lipstick with a little more color to it and some heavier shading on her brows would do the trick!

What would you change about Rachel’s look?

It appears that even these guys have bad makeup days! The ever handsome Zachary Quinto and John Hamm seem to have gotten out of the makeup chair before their MUA finished blending in their powder. We all love the magic finish of Makeup Forever’s HD powder, but we must always remember to have a light hand and blend, blend, blend! Has this ever happened to you?

Who doesn’t love bronzer, right? It can brighten us all up and give us the kiss of summer even on the coldest winter days! Contouring with bronzer is also a favorite of ours.

Bronzer, however, can be our enemy when used improperly. Take, for example, the picture above. She’s a pretty enough girl. Who let her dive into a pool of bronzer, though? The too-orange shade of makeup she is wearing doesn’t flatter her at all! That, paired with the untamed eyebrows and creased eye shadow, is not a pretty combination. What she needs is to start all over again, and go with the “less is more” mentality. Investing in a shadow base wouldn’t be a terrible thing, either.

What would you do to help her improve her makeup?

We all love good contouring, it’s a miracle in photography and film…but, it has to be done right. Nicki Minaj’s MUA used the wrong undertones on her and left her face looking like a hot mess. The contour on her nose is too orange while the highlight under her eyes is too chalky. When contouring, always use tones that you already have in your skin and blend, blend, blend!
